Support Me

This page was created to honor the memory of James Alan Connelly, Esq.

Here is a message James left for us in his journal:

"Love each other and realize that love for each other is God’s greatest gift to us. You will never get this time back."

Click here to see a video of a local news story featuring James and his brother John, who served as James' caregiver.

Here is a link to James' obituary, posted in the Sacramento Bee on Sunday, 13 December: https://legcy.co/3768G1q

As you can see, James cared deeply about others and appreciated "Be the Match" for being a source of HOPE and for helping him find a stem cell donor.  He was keenly aware that not all leukemia patients have the extensive support network that he enjoyed and applauded "Be the Match" for what they are doing to help fill in the gap.

Your generous gift delivers cures and needed support to patients desperate for a second chance at life, like James was.  Together, let's remember James by making a difference and helping others!

A virtual “celebration of life” will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. PST. Please contact us if you would like more information.

The family wishes to acknowledge the Sutter Cancer Center in Sacramento, CA for their loving care and treatment of James during his battle with AML as well as Be the Match, through which a donor contribution helped to keep James with us a little longer.

Thank you,

The Connelly Family
